CONVENTIONAL NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING (NDT)
ULTRASONIC TESTING
Our highly experienced & trained NDT Inspectors utilize advanced and conventional Non-destructive testing methods to quickly and accurately detect and identify flaws and measure material thickness for a variety of applications like vessels, tanks, pipelines, heat exchangers, etc.
MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION
Magnetic particle inspection is one of the fastest and most cost-effective nondestructive examinations available for ferromagnetic materials such as castings, weldments, forgings, machined or stamped parts. JIMCOL provides MPI services for clients onshore & offshore Nigeria using best industry practices.
DYE PENETRANT INSPECTION
Our NDTtechnicians conduct Dye penetrant testing on weld joints on pipelines, tanks and vessels. DPI has the advantage of being able to detect flaws in non-metallic and non-ferromagnetic materials and is also one of the most portable of the surface inspection methods, allowing us to conduct comprehensive onsite penetrant inspection.
VISUAL INSPECTION
Our trained and qualified visual inspectors apply knowledge of drawings, codes and standards to evaluate a wide variety of both new and in-service components. Human vision can focus, scan, measure, and detect depth, color, and flaws with great precision. Combined with instant, cognitive abilities of the human brain, VT has broad applications
RADIOGRAPHIC TESTING
JIMCOL’s certified RT technicians have the capabilities to perform conventional film radiography to Computed and Digital radiographic testing; a highly sensitive method that produces an image in digital format that can be viewed on any laptop or computer
EDDY CURRENT TESTING
Eddy current testing uses electromagnetic induction to detect defects in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials by inducing an eddy current field in the specimen under test. A variety of inspections can be performed with eddy current testing and it is typically used for surface and near-surface flaw detection, metal and coating thickness measurement, and metal sorting by grade and hardness. Our inspectors are highly experienced in performing this non-destructive technique and are PCN or ASNT Levels 2 and 3 or NAS410/EN479 Levels 2 and 3 qualified in eddy current testing.
RISK-BASED INSPECTION (RBI)
JIMCOL promotes a disciplined approach to RBI, following the principles of standards such as API 580 and API 581 and guided by professional field technicians, engineers & NDE advisors with significant experience in successfully executing RBI programs.
